Introduction

Located at Mercury Towers in St. Julian’s, Odyssey Malta is an immersive attraction designed to educate, entertain, and inspire through state-of-the-art experiences. We are committed to providing “Access for All,” ensuring our venue is welcoming, safe, and accessible for visitors of all ages, abilities, and needs.

Entrance and General Accessibility

  • Entrance to Odyssey is from the Upper Piazza at Mercury Towers and is accessible via a ramp leading to the main entrance, ensuring ease of access for visitors using wheelchairs or mobility aids.
  • Once inside, lifts are available to reach the upper floors of the attraction. Our staff are always on hand to provide assistance with lift operation and orientation as required.
  • Lighting and Sound: Designed to be immersive but considerate of sensory needs, ensuring comfort for all visitors. The below listed special effects are used in the multi-sensory exhibition. Odyssey Malta does advise that if any guests have a pre-existing condition that could be exacerbated by exposure to any of the below mentioned special effects, then these guests should not enter the multi-sensory exhibition.   Smoke, Fog, Haze and Mist, Artificial Scents, Strobe Lighting, Loud and Sudden Sounds
  • Most of the attraction features even flooring, though there are a few areas with steps, which are detailed below.

 

Flying Theatre Accessibility

  • Guests using wheelchairs must be able to transfer independently into the theatre seats. Due to the ride’s motion and safety requirements, you must be able to:
    • Sit upright securely
    • Close the safety barrier
    • Maintain a stable position using upper body strength throughout the ride
    • Accessing the simulator platform requires stepping up a 22 cm gap. Please speak with staff if assistance is needed.

  • The blue simulator is accessed via 5 steps and there is an additional set of stairs at the back leading back down to ground level. (24steps)

Our team is trained to assist guests with any specific needs to enhance their visit.

 

Facilities

  • Toilets: Accessible restrooms are available on the public space of Mercury towers, equipped with baby-changing facilities and appropriate features for guests with disabilities. Next to Italo on level LG.

Additional Amenities

  • Dining: Enjoy a variety of food and beverages at Mercury, with flexible seating arrangements and options for dietary needs.
  • Play Area: Within Mercury, at Planet Play level -B1 you can also find a Play Area designed for children of all abilities to enjoy, with safety flooring and inclusive play equipment.

Transport and Parking

  • Public Transport: The nearest bus stop is located within walking distance of the entrance, (250 meters) with wheelchair-accessible buses available.
  • Parking: On-site private parking underground garage includes designated spaces for Blue Badge holders, with ramps for easy access to the main entrance.

 

Emergency Procedures
In the unlikely event of an emergency, our staff is trained to assist all visitors with safe evacuation. Clear signage and alternate routes are in place to ensure a smooth and secure exit for everyone.
